CertificatesForExchange CSR responds with "Common name mail.contoso.com is already present in a current certificate "
Hi, I installed Exchange Server 2010 SP1 on a totally new WIndows domain. My previous experience was only with Exchange Server 2003. Thus, my cert had a single subject: mail.contoso.com. Now, I understand that for Exchange 2010, I need a UCC, which supports mail.contoso.com, ex-svr.contoso.com, autodiscover.contoso.com, etc. So I used EMC to issue a new request (CSR) for all of the requisite domains. But when I tried to submit the request to CertificatesForExchange, I got the error message: Common name mail.contoso.com is already present in a current certificate I called CertificatesForExchange support. They replied that I should remove the old mail.contoso.com cert from EMC, and then resubit a CSR. I tried that, but got the same error message. Since my previous cert was not purchased through them, how do they know I have a cert for mail.contoso.com already? What am I doing wrong? TIA, mlavie
